Tutorial Modeling Knife For Beginners Using Maya

in this tutorial you will learn how to model a simple knife using autodesk maya,This lesson will help beginners to learn a little bit of  modeling on Maya without using any reference and we will focus only on modeling without texture or render







First, let's take a look at the final result

  
Step 1 : create a new project and create a cube...go to "Ploygon > cube "

If the cube does not appear in the perspactive view go to "Create > Polygon Primitives > Interactive Creation

step 2 : Resize the cube by following these instructions

step 3 : go to top view by click "spacebar" and select Vertex by Pressing the right button in the mouse
  

 

 step 4 : And then change the object as follows

step 5 : go to "Edit Mash > Insert Edge Loop Tool and add some edges

step 6 : Select some points as shown in the picture

step 7 : Edit this points like that 

step 8 : Now press Right Mouse Button and select faces instead of vertex

and select this three faces

step 9 : go to "Edit Mesh > Extrude "

And then minimize the faces

step 10 : Now repeat the process by clicking on letter "G" And then lowered the faces

step 11 : go to "Edit Mesh > Insert Edge Loop Tool"

step 12 : and add edge loop as in the picture

Congratulations Now we finished the first part of a modeling knife

Now we will move to the modeling of grip

step 13 : create a pipe and And follow these instructions

step 14 : select this 2 faces and go to "Edit Mash > Extrude"

step 15 : Now by repeat "Extrude" and edit the vertex Until you get a result like this 

step 16 : now we add some edge loop 

step 17 : create a new cube and follows these instructions

step 18 : now go to top view and change mode to vertex and edit the points like this

step 19 : tutorial al most finish just add some edge loop to give the grip some sharp
